John graduated from North Texas State University in 1960 with a BBA Insurance Major. In 1964 he formed an Independent Insurance Agency specializing in bonds and insurance. In 1971 a National Broker acquired the agency, where he continued to specialize in construction bonds and insurance. In 1994, he joined as a partner with McQueary and Henry, which then merged with the Bowles Troy agency in 1996, where he has continues to work in the construction bonds and insurance field.

Tom Ellis graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas and received a BBA from SMU in 1964. He has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations. Tom's focus is building a close working relationship with you, helping you to understand the risks you face, and helping to select the best solutions for you. Tom has served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas and the Dallas Society of CPCU. He is an active member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC), the American Subcontractors Association (ASA), the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP), and the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas (IIAD). He has served on many committees of AGC, ASA, CPCU, IIAD, and IIAT.

Donnie Doan graduated form the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 with a BBA degree in Finance. Upon graduating, he joined Merchants Bonding Company (Mutual) as a Construction Surety Underwriter before coming to MHBT in 1998. Donnie is the Contract Bond Specialist at MHBT concentrating on the design of comprehensive Contractor Surety Bond and Insurance Programs to meet client's needs.

Kae Gibbons has been employed in the Insurance Industry since the early 1980's with the Ned Polk Agency in Corsicana, Texas. In 1986 Kae went to work at Frank Siddons Insurance in Austin, Texas and moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 1989 employed at Marsh & McLennan, Inc. Then, in 1994, Kae moved to McQueary & Henry with John Fulkerson which joined forces with the Bowles Troy Agency in 1996 to become MHBT.

Michele Degnon joined MHBT in 1998 along withTom Ellis. Starting in the bond department of Crum & Forster in 1969 and then moving to Transamerica in 1973, she left and joined a large contract bonding agency in 1981, working with several Producers. In 1992 Michele joined Tom Ellis of Ellis Insurance and Bonds which joined forces with the Sammons Agency in 1984 to become Sammons & Ellis.
